What is the After-School Study & Martial Arts Enrichment Program?

A structured, supervised after-school enrichment experience for children ages 6 and up. Students are picked up from local elementary schools and brought to Jiu-Jitsu Life SCA in Wallingford, CT, where they enjoy academic study time, a healthy snack, and martial arts training focused on confidence, discipline, and fitness.

Who oversees the program?

The program is led by Retired Navy SEAL Master Chief Brian Sargent, a black belt under Royler Gracie. The Warrior Kid Program is inspired by Jocko Willink's book series “Way of the Warrior Kid,” promoting self-reliance, discipline, and respect.

What does the daily schedule look like?

2:00–4:15 PM — Study & Homework Time with assistant supervision and light homework help.

4:15–6:00 PM — Martial Arts Enhancement: Jiu-Jitsu, striking, and conditioning.

A healthy snack is provided during study time.

Cook Hill Elementary (pickup ~2:00 PM)

Parker Farms Elementary (pickup ~2:15 PM)

Pond Hill Elementary (pickup ~2:20 PM)

Pickup is for enrolled students only.

What does it cost?

$60/week includes school pickup; $45/week without pickup.

Additional training access options: Unlimited classes & Rolling 24 access $149/month; 5 classes free trial $0; 10-class package $150; paid-in-full 6- or 12-month options available.

A 30-day written notice is required for cancellation.

Is this a licensed childcare program?

No — this is an extracurricular martial arts enrichment program with supervised study time, not a state-licensed childcare/daycare program.

What ages can participate?

Children ages 6 and above; students are grouped by age and skill for safety and growth.
